Real Raw Ingredients

Ingredient Information: Wild Animals

Wild animals eat a wide range of plant and herb species which research confirms gives such product a superior nutritional profile. We source our wild game from professional hunters (usually ex D.O.C) from poison free estates. The main points of difference with Carnivoro are that we use fresh carcasses (shot within the last 2 weeks), we cold process them, and we only use professional hunters- not weekend warriors. Our guys GPS tag their kills and cross reference with detailed maps. There is a big difference between fresh product from professional hunters that is processed the right way and product that is not. We are confident that you and your fur babies will notice the difference. Why should you pay top dollars for product that is not fresh? The simpler and more direct the supply chain the better the product. Hunting and safe utilisation of this valuable albeit pest resource is not only beneficial to your pets, but it keeps the focus on alternative win: win methods of keeping New Zealand's image of clean and green at the forefront when considering the protection of our unique New Zealand eco-systems.

raw rabbit pet food

The whole rabbit, excluding gut is used. Rabbit is a good source of Omega-3 (important for cognitive function, eye health, heart health & control of inflammation) and also Omega-6 fatty acids (stimulate skin and hair growth, maintain bone health, regulate metabolism, and maintain the reproductive system). The ratio of Omega-3 to Omega-6 is 1:4. Rabbit is very lean, and it is a good source of B vitamins (B-3, B-6, B-12). It is also a good source of the minerals Iron, Phosphorus, Potassium & Selenium.

The whole possum, excluding gut is used. Possum is a good source of Omega-3 (important for cognitive function, eye health, heart health & control of inflammation) and also Omega-6 fatty acids (stimulate skin and hair growth, maintain bone health, regulate metabolism, and maintain the reproductive system). The low levels of fat that are present are unsaturated fats (the good kind!) Amongst the best zinc and iron levels of any meat. Excellent choice for dogs & cats that are overweight- especially due to the CLA content."
The whole wallaby, excluding gut is used. Dama Wallaby is a moderate source of Omega-3 (important for cognitive function, eye health, heart health & control of inflammation) and a good source of Omega-6 fatty acids (stimulate skin and hair growth, maintain bone health, regulate metabolism, and maintain the reproductive system). Ingredient Information: Farmed Animals

"We do use generic 'pet food' farmed product. Any farmed ingredient that we use is a product of the human grade supply chain. What does that mean? It means that although pet food grade product is cheaper it is pet food grade because it was not eligible for human grade processing as it likely contains antibiotic residue- i.e.: the animal was not fit for human grade processing and was processed for pet food whereby chilled processing is not compulsory.  For many pets meat containing antibiotic residue is not an issue, but for others it can affect gut health and compromise metabolism. Our policy is that if it is not good enough for humans then why should you feed it to your pets. No shortcuts here. Simple."

Whole King Salmon (Freshwater)
    raw salmon pet food

We use human grade, whole salmon, excluding gut. These fish are farmed- fresh water raised in the overflow from hydro electrical dams- lower in sodium than sea-raised counterpart.
